Reflecting on 2008 i ponder on the words of the hymn; It is truly Wonderful. . the words go . .

“There’s not a single blessing,

Which we receive on earth,

That does not come from heaven,

The source of our new birth.”

2008 has been nutting but Blessings from above. Academically i excelled, Work-wise i excelled, Spiritually i grew, Relationship-wise . . . lol, ok fine im getting somewhere!!, ME as a person on the whole, i have matured beautifully!

I thank God for my FRIENDS . . . MOMMY, Kera aka KiKi, Zenna aka Zena/Z, BooBee, Vince aka Vincipooh. Also my school-mate; Kurline, Antilla, Love. Each of ull have impacted on my year one way or the other.

2008 started very good, a free mind, a free spirit, a free conscience. I was determined NOT to roll over my pits from 2007. I maintain my INDEPENDENCE, my freedom to choose,  and i sat back and weighed my options.

I overcame one of my greatest challenges, which i can proudly name GIVE UP, and MOVE ON!! Im happy to say im a better woman now! THANKS TO FRIENDS LIKE KERA!!

How can i not mention my moment in the spotlight at Caribbean Pirates!! Zena, Marlon, Denver . . PoPo in spirit!! Lol, cant forget the good times of 2008!!

 . . . it started by sharing a public fan . . . and it ended . . . oh yes, still continues!!. . .  *wink* . . . HAPPY TIMES!!

Then i was faced wit leaving the comfort of my bed, my home, the protected arms of where im “used to”, my local home church, my colleagues, my dear friends, my local haters!! to face SCHOOL! THANK GOD the transition was grrrreat!!  I felt soo  at  home. Thanks to 6:30am news on RSL, 6:45am news on Radio 100, Mike n Serge on the wave,  What Makes me Mad on Radio 100, then 1:00pm news on RSL, NewsSpin on RCI, and HYPER D on RCI.

. . .  then it was the bwett – the wave bwett!! Lol – thank u all my shout boxers! Ull sure made my first semester enjoyable! Boomz, Bee, Krypt, Shim, B, Oilly,  Avo, Vernipooh, Alipooh,  Rolls, Shabz, Tina, GPK, Pringy. Shima an her custard icicles, Rollz rollin on CatEye, the guy whos  gf beat him up for  . . ., the lady workin in the hot dog stand and is suspected she travelled in the uniform!! . . .      n the list goes on . . . lol, and the bee weave that left her head at obar – an insist is not her!! Lol AND  #1 in d top 10 RORO for 2008: BULLLS EYE!! Much love!!

And how cud i forget my Alliance Meetings . . .  Kiki, TANAY and i, with guest visitor Yas. Leo aka CoCo . . . was on the waiting list, but we may have to push him to 2009!! Lol, and the supermarket expert and maybe the restaurant owner – the first meal is on the house, lol, and ‘red snapper’.  That used to go up to after 2 in the morning sometimes!! lol

I wud encourage every young lady to elevate herself, her mind and get and stay educated. Keepin in the know has many benefits, it gives an impressive image an u are able to conduct an intelligent conversation. Beauty aint all – BEAUTY-N-BRAINS are in!

School taught me to appreciate things alot more. I went thru 3 months without a nail clip, a scrubbing brush, nail polish remover, a full length mirror, a long ruler, a stapling machine, paper clips, a juice squeezer  . . . lol, but i survive!! Great experience!!  Remember, I can do all things thru God who strengthens me!!

Thank u my bajan family;  98.1 THE ONE Chatroom, JAMAL, Bri aka STAR, nitegal, drip, 5-0, LAWDOGG– Garfield-don’t forget our bd dinner!! lol, Dwayne, Wendell, R-James, Jason, Sammy , n my CUZ – B-hugh-gordan, lol . . . Barbados wud not b the same  without ull, an my roomies: Lando, Danny, Dawn, Nads and K aka DJ#1! lol

THANK U GOD FOR ANOTHER BLESSED YEAR!! TO ALL MY FRIENDS, HI5 PEEPS, THE HATERS, THOSE WHO WANNA TAKE MY SHINE, . . . I WISH U ALL THE BEST FOR 2009. AND AS GOD CONTINUE BLESSING ME, HE TOO WILL BLESS U!! Stay Blessed!!
